Look up at the sky…

…and past the satellites:
That’s where I had my release concert today!

This was an extremely funny way to performe and meet the audience (read: unprepared passengers!) We did our songs in a stripped down version with tini-tiny instruments that all fit in the overhead;)

Thanks to Norwegian and the audience for making my very first album release unforgettable!!

Here is some pictures! Video out soon;)

Unplugged on the late-night couch

Friday I was invited as a guest on ‘Senkveld’, Norway’s premier late-night TV show, to perform my 3rd single ‘You Can’t Have it Both Ways’. With so much exciting stuff going on these days, it seems i can have it both ways…and then some.

‘Senkveld’ is hosted by two of the nicest guys on Norwegian television, and i really enjoyed performing the single in a stripped down unplugged version. FullSizeRender-1
This song was written for the album by my producer/mentor Magne Furuholmen and i would love to share it with as many as possible,
It feels so great to see all the work and the dreams of the last two years come to fruition.

Also on the couch, my fantastic band; Hugo Risdal, Andreas Haga & Åsmund Knutson. I am so proud to work with these guys, and I look forward to
our live concerts in the near future. Please come and see us!

Back in London

Love,
Tinixx

This weekend I was back in London to do an interview for n-Magazine, which is published by Norwegian airline.
The article will be in the October issue, so maybe you can find it in the seat pocket in front of you next time you go out to fly?

Last time I was over to London, i recorded a video / artist presentation together with Petter Nyquist to be shown onboard Norwegian flights from October.
But since this promotion will not kick off for a little while yet, I wanted to share ‘The Search For Sound’ with you on YouTube and here on my website today – Hope you like it!

This past weekend I also had a meeting with Conehead, my English record label. We have some exciting plans that I am really looking forward to working towards!
To my surprise, I also got a bunch of physical copies of ‘Send My Star’ which will be released in the UK in November! That I was overjoyed at the sense of ‘touching’ my own music isn’t an exaggeration!
My first two singles have just been released on digital media, so when I got to hold one of them in my hand it was especially great! Another dream coming true;)

Best,
Tini

The story so far

Almost two years have passed since I first set foot in Kensaltown Studios.

It feels like only yesterday in some ways, but when I put it all into perspective (which I am prone to do) I realize that all the incredible experiences over these two years have produced a new, updated version of Tini. The dream has become my life.

I have been served beautiful melodies and engaging lyrics on a silver platter by some very competent songwriters, and I have worked with a host of talented musicians.
They have all believed in my ability to bring something to their craft, which is the greatest vote of confidence I could be given.
In turn, this has given me inspiration and confidence to write my own material – to put my own reflections, experiences and emotions into words and music.

I am inspired by contrasts.
Dream vs reality.
Life’s many contrasts create a meaningful and rich tapestry, which I will try to channel through music without reservation.

My London-life is one of such contrasts. Long days in the studio filled with expectation, ambition, good ideas and bad, interaction and shared moments, hard work through labor-intensive days and nights, laughter and joy, frustration and patience – many magic moments with new discoveries, and hours in the company of testosterone-driven, sweaty musicians. A whole feast of feelings in a wide spectrum of situations.

A few snapshots cannot properly depict all that have gone into the making of my first album, but I hope it will give you some small glimpse into my world.

Next comes mixing and mastering (yet another new experience!) and the many plans leading up to the release of my first musical baby in the autumn of 2014.

My wish is that this album conveys what I have experienced, and that it might carry some meaning in your life – that my music transports you somewhere else, and maybe reminds you of a special memory – or to sum it up; that it blurs the lines between dream and reality… and provides you with some of the magic I have felt!
